Keep your COREPEL floor looking great.
COREPEL has a factory-applied UV coating with a super-matt surface. No wax, no oil, no sealing: clean dry, damp-mop now and then – done.
Care in three steps.
Dry cleaning straight away. Damp-mop SPC click after 24 hours if acrylic or silicone joints were used at skirting boards or transitions, otherwise straight away. Dryback: after 72 hours. Vacuum, then mop with a well wrung-out microfibre mop and pH-neutral cleaner until the water stays clear.
Sweep or vacuum sand and loose dirt – hard-floor head, no rotating brush. Wipe up spills at once.
Weekly or as needed, damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner (pH 6–9) at the stated dose. No standing water.
Removing stains.
Always test on an inconspicuous spot first, then mop with clean water.
| Coffee, tea, juice, red wine | wipe up at once, pH-neutral cleaner |
|---|---|
| Grease, oil, shoe polish | isopropyl alcohol on a soft cloth |
| Pen, marker, lipstick | isopropyl alcohol on a soft cloth |
| Heel and rubber marks | dry microfibre cloth, else isopropyl alcohol |
| Chewing gum, candle wax | harden with ice, lift with a plastic scraper |
| Hair dye, iodine, coloured disinfectant | remove at once, may stain permanently |
Prevent and protect.
- Doormat at every entrance – without rubber or latex backing
- Felt pads under all furniture, replace regularly
- Office chairs with soft castors (type W, EN 12529) or a protection mat
- No rubber on the floor: plasticisers can stain brown
- Lift heavy furniture, do not drag it
- Shade strong sunlight. Plant pots on waterproof saucers with a felt pad, never ceramic saucers directly on the floor
Never use.
- Wax, oil, polish, soap cleaners that leave a residue
- Abrasives, steel wool, hard brushes
- Solvents, vinegar, bleach, ammonia
- Steam cleaners and wet vacuums
- Standing water or flooding
Frequently asked questions.
Can I wet-mop COREPEL?
Damp yes, wet no. Wring the mop out well; the floor should be dry within minutes. Standing water can damage the subfloor.
Can I use a steam cleaner?
No. Steam and heat stress the surface and the click joint. A microfibre mop with a pH-neutral cleaner is enough.
Which cleaner should I use?
A pH-neutral cleaner for vinyl or LVT floors (pH 6–9), correctly dosed. No soap cleaners that leave a residue, no wax, no oil.
What helps with scratches?
Fine signs of use are normal on any floor and hardly show on the super-matt surface. For deep scratches a single COREPEL SPC plank can be replaced – your dealer can help.
Why does the floor discolour under rubber feet?
Plasticisers from rubber can migrate into vinyl and cause permanent brown stains. Use felt pads and mats without rubber backing.
Can a damaged plank be replaced?
Yes. COREPEL SPC is installed floating; single planks can be replaced without lifting the whole floor. For bonded Dryback, ask a professional installer.
